After The Rain: OOTD + WEEKLY ROUND UP

Happy Sunday guys! Fall officially started this week, which meant it was time to bring out the fall clothes. It also meant that it would rain all week, which caused a little delay in this weeks post. But luckily the sun finally came out, so let’s get into this weeks OOTD and weekly roundup!

INSTAGRAM

I’ve been a little busy on Instagram these past two weeks. I’m one of those dog moms that cannot stop herself from taking multiple pictures of her dog, so I couldn’t help but post a photo of when my little pup joined me while I was working. I’m very lucky to live in a beautiful state, and this photo from where I went to shoot the fall fashion essentials is breathtaking. There’s also a photo of what my mornings look like, laptop on the bed with iPad in hand, browsing through Pinterest. And to get myself through the rainy week, I went back to look at some beach pictures from my trip this summer and this one was my favorite. I also post little sneak peeks into upcoming blog posts on Instagram, so don’t forget to follow to know what posts are coming your way!

ON THE BLOG

This past week two shiny new posts went up! My favorite season for clothing is fall, so there is a 10 fall fashion essentials post on the items I’ll be having in my wardrobe this fall. If you’re looking to add to your wardrobe or just simply need a reason to shop, make sure to give it a read! There’s also a blog tips post on location scouting for outfit photos. Through some mistakes of my own I’ve figured out what to look for when finding a spot to shoot an outfit, and I thought I would share some tips with you!

WHAT I’VE BEEN LOVING

Since I was stuck inside a majority of this week due to the rain, I spent quite a few nights watching Netflix. I remember reading the book The Giver in school and loving it, so I decided to watch the movie. Let’s just say by the end of the movie I had tears in my eyes. It’s always interesting to watch movies where society is so drastically different from ours. I also watched the movie Colonia (mainly because Emma Watson was in it), and it’s just heart wrenching to know these events actually happened to people. It’s not the happiest of movies, but it’s definitely worth the watch.

PERSONAL

This past week has been filled with planning and catching up on work. I’ve spent some time brainstorming for future posts, and browsing through online stores. I’ve been in a little bit of a rut when it comes to finding fall clothes. Most of the stores I usually shop at haven’t had many items I’ve been loving. And I’ve made it a rule that if I don’t love something, I don’t buy it. Let me know what stores you’ve been buying your fall clothes at this year, because this girl could use a little inspiration.

OOTD

Most of my fall wardrobe consists of oversized sweaters, and this one I found on sale from the Gap last year is one of my favorites. I usually wear it with jeans, but since it is still over 80 degrees out, I paired it with my favorite button down denim skirt from LOFT. These sandal boots from Forever 21 are my go-to for dressing up a simple outfit, although by the end of the day I do end up with some blisters.

Hope you have a lovely week, and let’s all keep our fingers crossed that the fall weather finally starts to roll around!
