My Top 5 Makeup Products

Although I am not a makeup expert, and my love for fashion is larger than my love for makeup, but for some reason I love trying new makeup products. Ever since I started wearing makeup my freshman year of high school, I’ve tried many products and have found ones I love and ones that I didn’t love. Since I have over the years narrowed my collect down to the products I love, I thought I would share with you my top 5 makeup products at this current time!

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint

I have tried countless bb creams, cc creams and tinted moisturizers in the search to find a light weight “foundation” that was perfect for the summer months. Glossier’s Perfecting Skin Tint is the best “foundation” because it feels like you are wearing nothing, but still gives you slight coverage. You can apply it with your hands for a sheer coverage or with a brush for a bit more coverage. It’s extremely easy to blend and a bonus: it doesn’t leave your face extremely shiny!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Over the years I have bought many more eyeshadow than I should have, but the one I always reach for is this palette by Urban Decay. It has the perfect every day shades, with 5 matte shades ranging from light to dark, and one shimmery shade that’s perfect for highlighting the eyes. It’s also amazing for traveling, since it’s compact and has a mirror! I usually use w.o.s all over my lid, naked 2 in my crease, crave to line my eyes, and venus to highlight my inner corner. The pigment of the shadows are great, and it’s extremely easy to put on your eyelid, blend, and head out the door!

Glossier Balm DotCom

Another Glossier product is in my top 5 favorites, and for good reason. Like everyone else I have spent years searching for a lip balm that actually moisturizes my lips for the long term. Glossier’s balm dotcom is the best of the best when it comes to lip products. It’s like a more user friendly version of Vaseline. It feels amazing on the lips and actually creates a long term effect. It’s my go to all year, but especially for the colder months. You can also use it to highlight your cheekbones, and to moisturize other parts of your body! If you buy one product from my top 5, this should be the one.

Lily Lolo Lipstick in French Flirt

I’ve always had a love/hate relationship when it comes to lipstick. They’re either too drying, hard to apply, or don’t stay on very long. Although there are a few kinds I have found that are definitely loves of mine, this one from Lily Lolo beats them all. Just this past month I discovered this lipstick on the website Credo Beauty, which has a variety of semi-natural to natural beauty products. This lipstick is a dream to apply (it feels like you’re applying chapstick), and it stays on for a decent amount of time. Not to mention this color red is the perfect red shade for my skin tone. I’m excited to try more of their lipstick shades in the future!

Essence The Gel Nail Polish

I have been wearing nail polish since I was 13, and I’ve tried my fair share of brands. I don’t like to spend a lot of money on nail polish unless I know that it won’t chip in a day, which hasn’t been the case. The Essence gel nail polishes is the best nail polish I’ve ever tried, and they’re only $1.99!! I find that using them with my Sally Hansen double duty top coat helps it stay on for quiet a few days without much chipping. They sadly don’t have the widest range of colors, but the shades they do have are perfect for everyday.

And those are my top 5 makeup products! If you try any of these let me know what you think, and since I love trying new products let me know what your favorite makeup product is!
