I love the time I get to spend in the morning doing my makeup. As I talked about in summer daily routine as a bloggerpost, I spend the time catching up on videos and getting ready for the day. Although there are some products I am always switching out, for the most part I have found products that I always use every day. I thought I would give you a look at my daily face for summer that you see in most of my blog posts!
I always start off with moisturizing my face with my Glossier priming moisturizer. Depending on the day I’ll use one of two products for my foundation. If it’s a very hot day and I’m not going out I’ll use my Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint in Light. However, almost every day I use my Loreal True Match Foundation in porcelain. I find this foundation matches my skin perfectly and stays on for a decent amount of time. I use my fingers to apply the foundation to my face, and the Real Techniques buffing brush to blend this all over my face and down my neck.
For concealer I use the NudeStix concealer pencil in light 1 under my eyes and dab that in with my fingers. I also put a little bit on my eyelids, my chin, and around my nose since these are the areas where I tend to get the most redness. For powder I use the Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot in translucent and use my ELF powder brush to pat this on my face. I have tried countless powders and I find this one to the best. It actually makes my face matte but still leaves a bit of healthy shine and keeps my makeup on longer.
Because I am pale eyebrows are an important part of my makeup routine. If I could only use one makeup product it would be for eyebrows. I use the Nudestix eyebrow stylus pencil & gel in ash brown. I first brush out my brows and then fill them in with short strokes in the direction of my eyebrow hair. Next I take a clean eyeshadow brush and run that through my brows to make sure there are no harsh lines. I prefer to not use any gel in my eyebrows as I find it makes them too stiff and I hate the feeling it gives my brows.
Eyeshadow can vary from day to day, but there are 3 products I tend to grab for. I will either use my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and use the shades W.O.S & Naked 2 on my lid and crease, or if I want a more shimmery eye look I’ll use the shade pewter from my Lorac Pro palette. However, 9 times out of 10 now I just use my Nudestix magnetic matte eye color in Taupe. I apply it all over my lid and blend it in with my Eco Tools eyeshadow brush. I then will apply a bit more into my crease and blend that as well.
For eyeliner I use my Soap & Glory supercat eyeliner pen in black. I apply this to the outer half of my lid making the line slightly bigger the further out I go. I find this helps open up my eyes without making the eyeliner too much. For mascara I use my LilyLolo mascara in black and my NYC eyelash curler to curl my lashes. I always after applying mascara use an old mascara wand that I’ve cleaned off and run that through my lashes to help separate them and get rid of any clumps.
I will sometimes use bronzer to try to help define my cheekbones and jawline. Sometimes I will use an actually bronzer, but most times I just use the shade Naked 2 from my Naked Basics palette! I use an ELF mineral powder brush to apply it and I use a light hand since I am pale. I don’t always wear blush since I do have a lot of redness in my skin, but when I do it’s either my Tarte blush in exposed, or Maybelline hi-lighting blush in Nude. I apply it with my Eco Tools blush brush to my cheeks and then my makeup is almost complete!
The one product I am consistently switching is my lipstick. I have recently started wearing some form of lip stick almost every day. The top products I have been reaching for this summer are either The Body Shop lip and cheek stains in red pomegranate and dusty rose, Nudestix intense matte lip in royal, or Sonya Esman x ColourPop perks of being a wildflower multi stixs. Lately I’ve been using St. Petersburg from the ColourPop kit, which is this gorgeous red color.
And that is a look at my summer daily face! I hope you enjoyed getting to know the makeup I am wearing in most of my blog posts. Let me know if you have used any of these products, and what your favorite makeup product for summer is!
