Minimal Beauty: My 5 Product Everyday Makeup Look

These past few months my makeup routine has had less and less products in it. I usually wear more makeup the colder it gets, but for some reason this year it’s the opposite. Now there are days where I wear a bit more makeup than this. But for most days I only use 5 products on my face. I thought I would share with you my minimal beauty 5 product makeup look.

My 5 Product Everyday Makeup

Face

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint In Light: I’ve been switching between this product and foundation for over 2 years, but it’s now replaced my foundation all together. This skin tint is perfect for light, all over coverage that is my skin but better. I apply it with my EcoTools perfecting skin brush and it blends like a dream. I’ve started to embrace my skin more, but if I do need a bit more coverage I will occasionally use a concealer.

Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Powder In Translucent: I have combination skin, but I still need to use powder to keep it from getting too shiny after a long day. I’ve used countless powders, but the one I love is this Soap & Glory one. It keeps my makeup in place without giving a caked feeling to my skin. I also apply this to my eyelids when I don’t wear eyeshadow (which is most days).

Eyes

NudeStix Eyebrow Stylus In Ash Brown: The one thing I can’t leave the house without is doing my eyebrows. I’ve had a hard time over the years finding something that works, but this year I finally found it. This NudeStix pencil has made filling in my brows so much easier. It’s hard to mess up, and the color isn’t warm toned which is perfect for my brows. I don’t use the eyebrow gel because I don’t like the stiff feeling it gives.

Lily Lolo Mascara In Black: I have very sensitive eyes, which is the main reason why I’ve limited my eye makeup. Instead of eyeshadow and eyeliner, most days I just wear mascara. I found this mascara on the website Credo Beauty, which has tons of natural and organic makeup to shop through. Since it’s going so close to my eye, I thought having something as natural as possible would be better. This mascara is a nice touch without making them look fake or clumped up.

Lips

SmashBox Be Legendary Lipstick in Legendary or Glossier Balm DotCom in Cherry: Now I don’t wear lipstick everyday, but since I do have a lot in my makeup collection I try to a few times a week. There are loads of ones I like, but I have two favorites at the moment. This mini SmashBox one in Legendary is the perfect red shade. I love a good red lip, but most of mine are matte. This one glides on like a dream and doesn’t make them dry.

If you saw on my Instagram this week, I placed an order with Glossier and got a new Balm Dotcom. This cherry one is now my go-to for every day of the week when I’m not wearing lipstick. It has the same moisturizing properties as the original one, but gives a gorgeous red tint to the lips. And the smell isn’t too sweet, and it reminds me of something from my childhood.

And those are the 5 products I put on my face daily! Let me know what one beauty product you’ve been loving recently.

Wow Kara. Love all your products but I am a fanatic of lipsticks so… SmashBox Be Legendary is going to be in my wish list for sure.
If I have to choose my 5 products they would be: Missha BB Cream M Perfect Cover, NYX Away we glow Liquid Hightlighter, Etude House Drawing Eye Brown pencil, Belcils mascara and Kiko Gossamer Emotion Creamy Lipstick.
    Have a wonderful week,

  4. I love the idea minimal makeup. I avoid makeup as much as possible and let my skin breathe hence, I find myself reaching to bb creams mostly. I have sensitive eyes too, I wish I could find good organic products in my country. Btw you look gorgeous in minimal look 🙂

Love that you only use 5 products recently! I hope to reach that someday however I am proud of myself for using a lot less than I have in the past lol. That Smashbox lipstick is really gorgeous and really is the perfect red for you <3 I also can't leave the house without doing my eyebrows or I go absolutely insane. It does take time to find the perfect brow products. I've also been meaning to try out that Soap & Glory powder but the price is quite hefty here. I wonder how it compares to the Glossier Wowder as I believe that one is more affordable than the S&G one here (weird I know).

Thank you so much Stacey! Having your eyebrows done just seems to make everything better. And that is so weird that the Glossier powder is cheaper there than the Soap & Glory one! Here the Glossier one is almost double the price of S&G. x
