Days are getting shorter and the weather is starting to feel more and more like winter. I have officially bought everything my wardrobe could possible need for this season (And lets hope it stays that way. But knowing me I’ll find something else to add). I have all the fall & winter coats, sweaters, and accessories I could need to keep me warm. So with that I thought I would share some of the fashion styles/items I’ve been loving recently, + a cozy day OOTD.
One of the consistent staples throughout my closet is oversized items. Normally I go for more oversized fits when it comes to sweaters or t-shirts, but I’ve also been loving oversized coats and cardigans. I have one oversized black coat from H&M that I live in during the winter months, as well as a few oversized cardigans. Recently I have worn this wool oversized coat from Uniqlo everyday since I got it. To me it looks like a coat and a cardigan came together in perfect harmony and this coat was the result.
Unless you have shopped at Uniqlo before, you probably have no idea what HEATTECH is. HEATTECH is a collection that uses rayon to wick the body’s moisture and turns it into heat. Then the fabric’s air pockets with ultra-thin micro fibers trap the heat and retains it. If you’re interest you can read more about it here. The thing I love about this range of clothing at Uniqlo is it keeps you so warm, but you don’t have to give up on fashion wear it. Everything is flattering, not too heavy in material, and great for layering.
The past few years my fall and winter wardrobe has mainly consisted of neutrals with a few shades of blue. However this year I seem to have been bit by the color bug, and my wardrobe has more colored items in it. The particular colors I’ve been loving are reds, mustard, forest green, navy blue and other shades of blue. A few of my favorite colored items in my wardrobe would have to be my yellow H&M sweater, ASOS berry coat, H&M forest green turtleneck, and this red sweater from Zara.
A style I have loved for years and still love is when an outfit as both casual items and dressier items. Some of my favorite pairings are a pair of high waisted jeans with a sweater or t-shirt, loafers and a blazer, dresses with sneakers, or a sweater layered over a dress. To me mixing these items adds more interest to any outfit, keeps it comfortable, and allows you to wear more items in your wardrobe.
This red-orange turtleneck is from the Uniqlo HEATTECH collection, and it was perfect for this chilly fall day. I can already see myself layering it for the winter months. My favorite recent purchase is this wool coat from Uniqlo that I showed on my Instagram story. It is perfect for cozy days and I’m in love with the different specs of colors the fabric has. My go-to jeans for causal days are my ASOS high-waisted Farleigh jeans, and I love pairing them with a loafer or oxfords.
And those are the styles/items I’ve been loving for fashion recently. Let me know what fashion item you’ve been loving lately!
