We are now officially in the Christmas spirit and I couldn’t be any more excited. Although these past few weeks and the weeks to come will be busy and hectic, it’s my favorite time of year. In the month of November a new blog series was born, I started an old hobby again, and enjoyed the fall/winter fashion. So here is a round-up of November + one of my recent favorite fall outfit.

This month’s Instagram posts were filled be home decor shots, fall outfits, and of course – books!

Things I’ve Been Loving

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp: Now I’m not one for playing games on my phone. I do have a few that I play when I’m traveling but other than that I don’t spend my time playing them. However when I saw this app a week ago I was so happy. I use to play animal crossing as a kid on my Nintendo DS all the time, until I lost it. So this app was a trip down memory lane. I don’t play it as much as I did the first two days I had it, but it’s still a love of mine this month.

Glossier You: At the start of November I placed an order with Glossier and in it came a sample of their new perfume. When it comes to perfume scents I’m very picky. I hate overly sweet ones and prefer ones that smell more manly. So when I tried the sample I was in love. I’m terrible at describing perfumes, so you can read the description on their website here. But it’s the perfect mix of musky and lightness. When my mom smelled it on my she said “that’s your scent”.

The month of November that been a hectic one to say the least. With the college semester coming to an end the assignment load has piled up. It’s been a bit of a challenge balancing it all, but so far so good. I’m excited for it to be over though because then it’s Christmas time.

I also this month picked up an old hobby of mine: sewing! In my freshman year of high school I took a sewing class and fell in love. My parents so kindly bought me a sewing machine and I did sew for a bit of sophomore year, but sadly school just got too much to continue. Fast forward 7 years later and I decided to start again. I’m currently making myself a dress which is a work in progress, but once it’s done I will share it with you guys!

When picking an outfit lately I’ve stopped reaching for jeans, and instead choose a pair of pants. This gray pair from Monki has been a huge love of mine ever since I discovered them when cleaning out my closet. They are a nice change from my usual pair of black pants, and they feel like I’m wearing lounge pants.

My go-to black turtleneck is from ASOS, and this grid coat is from SheIn. It’s perfect for fall days with warmer weather. To add some color to the neutral outfit I added my blue tote bag from IKEA. This is my go-to bag for shopping or blog photo days because it carries all my items. And of course I’ve been wearing from favorite pair of glasses, they are the frame Anywhere from EyeBuyDirect. If you use the code IFBXTY9DFX you get $10 off your first purchase (not sponsored, I just love their glasses).

And that is a look at November! Now on to the last month of the year (I still can’t believe 2017 is almost over).

  1. I can’t believe December is literally at our doorsteps. When did this happen? I wish I could be happy but it’s making me overly anxious!

It’s awesome you got into something you enjoyed doing! If you start to sew clothes I’d love to see what you create! I also received the sample of You with my last Glossier order and good thing I got to enjoy it for already 2 days before I dropped the bottle and it broke 🙁 it only fell from a chair to the floor so it still baffles me how it happened. I also am still loving your glasses and it suits your face so well! I’m still comparing a few places online but thanks for sharing that code <3

I can’t believe it broke! I never even thought about it potentially breaking before, so that sucks girl. At least you got to enjoy it for a little bit before. And I will definitely be sharing a look at what I make, it just looks like it might not be done until the end of December because of Christmas haha. And thank you Stacey! You always leave the nicest comments x

I also love this month, not for the weather because I hate deeply cold, but everything has really good vibes and positivity and all places are so beautiful and charming.
It is amazing you know to sew. It is so so useful! When I order clothes, especially in chinese websites, my mum use to fix them to fit on my perfectly. I don’t know if you know that kind of big wool to do blankets made by knots? I think I am going to spend some of my holidays with it.

    • Kara Callahan says:

That is so cool that your mom use to fix the clothes for you! And I’ve seen those blankets before, but I have no idea how to do it. I might have to learn! x
