January is finally almost over! I’m sure you’ve seen this be said all over social media, but it feels like January has been going on for way too long. Even though it felt this way it still was a great start to 2018. So here is a round up of the month, filled with blog posts, the Instagram feature I’ve been loving, & this outfit with my new favorite wardrobe addition- overalls!
Lots of new posts went up on the blog this month! Everything from tips for having the best 2018, to blogging tips and snow photos.
A Look At My Planner: Ban.do 17 Month Agenda: After using my planner for a month, I put together a little review.
Simple & Easy Ways To Use Affiliate Links On Your Blog: This one was a very popular post this month, and I’m so glad it could help!
My Positivity Project: Why I’m Giving Up “Perfection” in 2018: A little talk about why I’m giving up “perfection” when it comes to creating content and why you should too + some snow photos.
My Winter Book Recommendations: Everything from creative/inspiration books to fiction/thrillers!
My Minimal Everyday Makeup for Winter: A quick look at the makeup I’ve been wearing for most of winter.
VLOG 2: IKEA Haul, Spring Semester of College, & Snow Days: One of my goals this year is to vlog more on my YouTube Channel, and the first one of this year went up!
Due to the snow this month, my Instagram definitely had more of a winter vibe. Here are a few of my favorite photos I posted this month!
Instagram Save Feature: When Instagram first came out with this feature I didn’t really see the point of it. It wasn’t until a few weeks later that I realized it was a great tool, and I’ve used it so much in January. I see it as a mini Pinterest or inspiration board. When I see a photo I love or that inspires me, I save it so I can look back at it in the future. Then when I need some inspiration or motivation to take photos, I simply scroll through them.
Glasses: Now it’s not like I needed another pair of glasses, but when I saw EyeBuyDirect was having a sale I decided to treat myself this month. I’ve always wanted a pair that was a pop of color, so when I saw this red pair I was in love. The frame style is similar to another pair I own that I love, and so far they have gotten a lot of wear this month.
If I’m going to be completely honest (which I always try to be), this month has been crazy busy. With it being my last semester of college there hasn’t been a day where I’m not working on an assignment. Mix that with work, blogging, and life in general, there have been very few moments where I have nothing to do. And I’m actually liking that. I find that if I’m always doing something I have more motivation and energy. Now I still give myself down time to read and spend time with family. The only thing I’ve been “slacking” on is finding the time to work towards my business ideas. Once I get more into a routine I hope to have more time for that, although right now my priority is college.
The one clothing item for years that I struggled with was overalls. I could never find a pair I loved, and I aways went back and forth between if I actually liked the look of them or not. But when I came across this ASOS pair I knew I had found the right one. I love that it’s oversized, but is still flattering and since it’s black it will go with everything in my wardrobe. The striped shirt is actually a guy’s shirt from ASOS, and I’m so happy I found it. I love the different colors, and guy’s clothing seems to be made better. To tie in all the red, my go-to purse has been this small Nine West one, and my new go-to shoes are these EuroSoft oxfords that are just as comfortable as they sound.
And that is a look at January. I hope you all had a great start to 2018, and I’d love to know something you’ve been loving this month!
