I don’t know if many of you know this since I haven’t talked about it much on my blog or social media, but I’m a huge quote lover. Growing up I always loved quotes and still to this day I spend hours on Pinterest pinning different ones. I find them to be a great source of inspiration, and sometimes they are exactly what I need to hear at that point in my life. So I thought I would share with you some of my favorite quotes + a look at one of my favorite spring outfits!
My Favorite Quotes
“My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice” – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
I read this a few weeks ago on social media and it’s become my new favorite. As someone who tends to worry a lot for often times no good reason, this gave me a new outlook on worrying.
“Enjoy the little things in life because one day you’ll look back and realize they were the big things”
“People will love you. People will hate you. And none of it will have anything to do with you” -Abraham Hicks
This quote makes such a good point because someone liking you has everything to do with them and not with you. There are 7 billion people in this world and not everyone is going to like you, which is 100% okay. It honestly depends on them and what they like, not anything to do with you. As a blogger and content creator I always try to remind myself of this.
“Be nice to people on your way up because you’ll meet them on your way down” – Wilson Mizner
This is a quote I heard years ago when I was in school and it’s stuck with my ever since. This is such an important point in life in general, but especially with work. People tend to think they’re all of a sudden better than others once their career starts picking up, but that doesn’t give any excuse to look down on others or to treat them differently.
“Have Less. Do More.”
“Don’t feel stupid if you don’t like what everyone else pretends to love” -Emma Watson
I love this because with social media it’s so easy to feel the need to like what everyone else is liking. Whether it’s a fashion trend or a new movie that just came out, we often feel that we need to jump on board with loving it. It’s important to stay true to yourself and what you love.
“It’s not your job to be everything to everyone”
“The greatest prison people live in is the fear of what other people think”
“It wasn’t a waste of time if you learned something”
One of my long time favorite quotes in life because it’s 100% true. As long as you learned something from it, whether it’s what to do next time or what not to do next time, then it was a valuable life lessen. Often times there never is such a thing as wasted time in life.
“Great things never came from comfort zones”
This is of course easier said than done, but great things do tend to happen when you step out of what you’re comfortable with and do something that scares you in a good way.
Spring Style OOTD
The weather has sadly gone back to being winter now, but the last two weeks I’ve been blessed with a hint of spring weather. I’ve pretty much finished all my shopping for spring and summer clothes now, and managed to find some great sale items. This navy blue dress was one of my best find at American Eagle. I am in love with the color and it can be worn in pretty much every season. To add a pop of color and some warmth since it was a bit chilly this day, I wore my Uniqlo HeatTech red turtleneck. And my two go-to items: my red Nine West purse and my black loafers.
And those are some of my favorite quotes + spring outfit! Let me know what your favorite quote is!
