Last Sunday I headed off for a few days at the beach with my family. It was my spring break, and a last minute decision to spend some time away. Although I’ve always been more a mountain person, I definitely have fallen in love with the beach again. I took tons and tons of photos (over 800 to be exact), so I thought I would share my favorites with you! Also you can see a travel diary vlog of my trip over on my YouTube channel.
One of the things I’ve come to love about where I live is I can get to the beach or the mountains in under 5 hours. Although I’ve been to the beach a few times since moving from New York, me and my family decided to go to a place called Emerald Isle which is a small Irish beach town on the coast of North Carolina. I would highly recommend going to the beach on the off season since it is inexpensive and not crowded at all.
The gorgeous view from where we were staying.
The first day we arrived it was a gloomy and cold day, but still beautiful. I also got to bring my little fluff ball on the trip since this beach was dog friendly.
The second day we were there it rained almost the whole day, which meant most of it was spent indoors.
It’s hard to believe that on the worst day of weather, it had one of the best sunsets of the whole trip.
Our last full day there was filled with sunshine and blue skies. Don’t be fooled though – it was absolutely freezing. Most of the day was spent walking on the beach.
I managed on our last day to snap this photo of these ships off the coast through a pair of binoculars.
And that is a photo diary from my trip to the beach. I hope you enjoyed all the photos, and let me know if you are more of a beach person and or a mountain person!
