April Round Up 2018 + OOTD

I saw someone say this on Instagram, and they were spot on- how January seemed to drag on forever and in the blink of an eye it is almost May! I honestly can not wrap my head around where March and April have gone. The warmer weather is finally here to stay, and although this month has been extremely busy with the end of college coming near, the sunshine and spring fashion have made up for it. Here is a round up of the month of April, with everything from favorite photos to a pop of red outfit with all the comfort.

A Few Of My Favorite Things

Last month I included some photos I took throughout the month instead of talking about my favorite Instagram photos I posted. I sadly didn’t take many photos that I didn’t post on Instagram, but here are my favorite photos that I took this month! (If you turn your phone sideways you can see them side by side, so you don’t have to scroll as much).

The moody sky was too gorgeous to not photograph.

I’ve been taking outfit photos by this tree almost all month, and I’m in love with how beautiful it looks.

These shoes are a new favorite of mine, and they are as comfortable as shoes can be.

Fresh flowers help add the perfect touch of spring to any space.

Bandanas are a trend I can’t get enough of, and this one from Target is my favorite.

A new addition to my purse collection: this reversible striped purse that makes my yellow dreams come true.

I always love looking back at old travel photos, and Crescent Lake is a favorite place of mine.

Although I did a favorites video on my Youtube channel, I thought I’d still share a few here:

Trader Joe’s Rose Water Toner: This is suppose to be a dupe for the Mario Badescu facial spray with rosewater, and although I’ve never tried that one, I love this one so much. I use it in the morning and evening to refresh and hydrate my skin. It feels amazing, and I love the rose scent.

NudeStix Lip + Cheek Pencil in Sin: I’ve been a huge lover of NudeStix products, especially their lip products. I decided to try one that wasn’t matte this month and I love how it feels like a lip balm. The color is this gorgeous deep rose pink shade, and for a non-matte lip product it lasts pretty well.

Zara High Waisted Mom Jean Fit Shorts: I’m not a huge shorts wearer, especially denim shorts, because often times they are too short and I hate how they ride up when I walk. So it’s says a lot that these shorts from Zara are a new love of mine. I haven’t been able to wear them outside of my room yet, but they fit amazing, aren’t too short, and the mid wash goes perfectly with my wardrobe.

As I am posting this blog post, I have less than one week until I graduate college. It’s been a busy month of assignments, projects, and tests, but it has all been worth it. I’m excited and a bit nervous for the future, since my whole life has been school, school, school, but it will honestly be a much welcomed change. I plan to give myself the month of May to start working towards creating my business, then I have a trip in June, and then it’s working towards my goals from then on out.

Red has quickly become a favorite color of mine, especially when it comes to clothing. This striped red tee by Ralph Lauren that I got at Marshalls has become one of my favorite t-shirts I own. I love pairing it with black bottoms, and this tied skirt from Who What Wear is one of the few skirts I own. It looks pretty fancy, but it actually is so comfortable to wear. And of course my red cross body purse from Nine West is almost always on my body when I’m out of the house.

And that is a round up of April. I’d love to know how April was for you!

Congrats on graduating soon, Kara! I can’t wait to see how your business turns out (if you decide to share with us). And are you referring to Crescent Lake in Washington? Because I’ve been kayaking there and LOVE the place. Bandanas are my favorite accessory at the moment too and I love your shoes! Very creative shot.
