My Favorite Spring Day Activities Ideas + Smoothie Recipe

Spring is starting to come and hopefully will stay around for awhile, which means warm days filled with enjoying the sun.  So today I’m sharing my favorite spring day activity ideas that are affordable, simple, and fun + my go-to smoothie recipe. All of these are simple and affordable things you can do by yourself or with friends and family, so happy reading!

Picnic in backyard

One of my favorite things to do once the weather starts getting warmer is to spend as much time as I can outside, especially in my backyard. An easy way to soak up the sun is to have your own picnic in your backyard or a close by park. You can use a picnic blanket or just an old blanket, lay it out on the grass, and relax! You can bring some snacks, your favorite drink, and something to read or some music to listen to.

Smoothie Recipe

In my self care ideas post everyone seemed to love the look of this smoothie, so I thought I would share the recipe with all of you since it’s extremely easy & perfect for spring!

What you need:

  • Frozen berries. I use Trader Joe’s berry mix of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries.
  • Vanilla Yogurt. My favorite is the Yoplait Oui yogurt, but you can use any vanilla yogurt. I also sometimes will use vanilla Kefir too.
  • Vanilla Protein Powder.
  • 1% Milk. I prefer almond milk, but I don’t always have that in my fridge.

I start with the berries and work my way down the list, and then blend them all together for a delicious smoothie!

Beach / Lake Day

There is nothing better than breathing ocean air. If you live close enough where you can drive to the beach, have a beach day with friends, family, or by yourself. It might not be warm enough to go for a swim yet, but it’s still a great place to relax and go for a walk. If you don’t live near a beach you can always have a day at a lake.

Nature Walk

Getting out and moving is great not only for your body but for your mind too. Find some hiking and walking trail near you and spend the day in nature.

Trip to National Park

National parks are one of my favorite places to visit all year, but especially in spring since they aren’t as crowded as they are in summer. In America there are actually quite a lot of national parks that are free to visit, and you can always get a yearly pass if you want to visit the ones that aren’t. Do a little research to find one near you, and make it a day of exploring, hiking, and making memories.

Baking Day

There really is nothing better than home baked goods, so treat yourself this spring to a baking day! My personal favorites to bake are muffins and breads for breakfast, but pull out your favorite recipes and try not to eat too much batter before it’s all done.

Spring Cleaning Day

The warmer weather is great motivation to declutter and clean your space, so pick a day that you are off to give yourself a fresh start for spring. Clean your space, go through the clothes and makeup you no longer use, and don’t forget to clean your digital space too!

And those are my favorite spring day activities! I hope these gave you some inspiration to get out and enjoy the warmer weather.

I want smoothie now so badly 🙂 I usually spend days on taking photos now, I just enjoy such small things like being able to take a photo of a flower.

  4. This is such a cute list of ideas for spring. I think I’ve done all of them so far apart from having a picnic so that’s definitely on my to-do list now! And love the look of that smoothie too – I’ll definitely be giving it a go!!

Wonderful spring activity ideas girl! I also love this time of year to go picnics since in the summer there’s always way too many flies and bees attacking and in spring it’s a bit easier to relax with hahah. It’s also the time to pull out the colder drinks so I will be making smoothies too!
