One of the amazing things about life is there are endless possibilities on what you can do. But with that comes the task of figuring out what exactly you want to do with your life. The ultimate goal is to find what sets your soul on fire and make that into your job, which is easier said than done. So as someone who is also figuring out what I want to do, here are some tips that are helping me find what I’m passionate about, that I hope help you too!
One of the simplest ways to find out what you’re passionate about is looking at your hobbies. Take your hobbies, or what you love to do in your free time, and figure out how to make it your job. Even if no one else is currently doing it as their job, that doesn’t mean you can’t. You might not be able to do exactly what your hobby is, but you definitely can find something pretty close to it.
Take the time to make a list of all the things you would do even if you weren’t being paid. Although this obviously is not reasonable, it may help put into perspective what you really love doing. We often can get blocked by the factor of money, which still is very important, but if you are passionate about something, you definitely can succeed at making it a viable career option if you work hard.
If you’re still not 100% sure what you are passionate about, or if you don’t have too many hobbies, the best thing to do is to go out and try different things that pique your interest. You can do this by taking some online courses, which my favorite places to do this are Udemy or StackSkills, or pick up a few books to read. Volunteering is also a great way to try new activities.

And those are some tips for helping you find what you are passionate about! It’s all about finding something that you would do from sunrise to sunset, and as cliche as it sounds, find something you love so you’ll never have to work a day in your life. It won’t happen overnight and it may take a few tries to find it, but remember to enjoy the process of finding it!
I’d love to know what you’re passionate about!
