Happy first of July! The summer heat is here and 2018 is going by in the blink of an eye. So far June might just be my favorite month of the year. I traveled (which you’ll hear plenty about in this post since I can’t seem to stop talking about it), got to unplug for a bit, and overall enjoyed myself. So like always, here is a round up of the month, with everything from my favorite moments and photos, to this blue midi dress and more!
Not as many blog posts went up this month as I decided to enjoy my vacation and not rush out posts just for the sake of putting them up. But, here are the ones that did go up, and I’m so excited for the ones I plan to create for July!
Book Recommendations #3: I’ve decided to put up a book recommendations post after I’ve read a few books I love instead of one for each season, which means more books for you to read!
My Summer Style Tips + Favorite Places To Shop: My tips for shopping for clothes this summer + my favorite online stores to shop at.
Banff, Jasper, & Glacier National Park | Travel Diary: All of my favorite photos of the beautiful places I went on my trip. Creating this made me want to get right back on a plane.
Here is a look at some of my favorite photos and moments from the month of June.
I took these photos in my backyard for a blog post, and they are some of my favorites I’ve ever taken.
One of the best parts of summer is seeing all the beautiful flowers bloom.
Waterfall hike in Banff.
The best moments from June all come from my trip to Banff + Jasper.
The lakes in Banff are honestly the best part. The dust from the glaciers settles at the bottom, which gives the water a turquoise color.
On the last day of my trip I was able to finally wear summer clothing, and this red dress from ASOS is a new wardrobe favorite.
Uniqlo waffle knit tee: I ended my trip in Denver and there were 2 reasons for that: 1- it was the best place for a direct flight home, and 2- they have a Uniqlo store! I always shop online and it was nice to actually be able to try items on. This waffle knit tee (I picked it up in black and red) is already my favorite top in my closet, and with it being on sale for $9.90, it really can’t get any better.
Spending less time online: For most of my trip there was no cell service, which allowed me to unplug and enjoy the moment I was in. It was the perfect recharge that I needed, and I already plan to start doing it more often in my every day life.
This month was honestly pretty great. I got to spend it traveling with my favorite people to some of my new favorite places, celebrate my mom’s birthday, and enjoy the sunshine when I got home (although with the temperatures feeling like it’s over 100 every day, I can already tell it will get old fast). However I have been having a bit of anxiety and fear over the future, especially now that I’m out of college, but it’s nothing too bad. I just need to remind myself that good things take time, especially with creating your own business, and there is no set timeline for life. We are all on our own journeys, and there’s no need to rush things.
I placed an order of 2 dresses from ASOS right before my trip, and I’ve been in love with them ever since. This blue midi dress is perfect for summer days because I don’t have to worry about the wind blowing it up, and it’s loose enough that I can move around freely. For summer I prefer to keep everything else simple, with my favorite tie sandals that I’ll never stop wearing and no jewelry except for stud earrings. There’s just something so lovely about a dress that is comfortable enough to run around in.
And that is a look at June! I hope you all had a great one, and heres to an even better July!
