We are now over half way done with 2018! I say this all the time, but time really does fly by fast. July has been a wonderful summer month with finally finding the flower field of my dreams, to taking it a bit slower and enjoying each moment. As always here is a recap of the month, with everything from the movie and book I’ve loved to this pinafore dress outfit and more!
After traveling for a lot of June and not posting as much on the blog, I’m happy that in July I’ve created some of my favorite posts yet!
Here is a look at some of my favorite photos I took and posted this month, as well as some of my favorite outfits!
This midi dress from Who What Wear is a new wardrobe favorite of mine. Their dresses always fit like a dream.
Reds and oranges have become a favorite of mine this summer, and I couldn’t help but add more of it to my wardrobe with this Zara top.
Until this month I hadn’t worn a denim jacket in years! This one is from Universal Thread and I love wearing it on cooler summer nights.
This is one of my favorite photos I’ve taken of myself. Every time I take photos of myself with a book I always end up putting in on my head by the end of taking the photos.
The travel bug has bitten me this month, and in result I’ve been looking back at photos from my trip in June. This one from Lake Louise is a favorite of mine, and I plan on getting it printed to hang on my wall.
This photo was actually taken by my lovely mother, and I just love everything from how candid it is to the colors of the trees.
Me Before You movie: I read this book almost 2 years ago and it became one of my favorites. It’s taken me all that time to finally watch the movie because I knew I would cry while watching it (and I did), but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I really liked the movie! I still think the book is better as it gives more details and emotion to the story, but if you haven’t seen this movie I would definitely recommend it! One of my favorite quotes from the movie is:
“You only get one life. It’s actually your duty to live it as fully as possible”
Little Fires Everywhere: I will be including this book in my next book recommendations post, so I won’t talk too much about it. I thought I would mention it though because it was one of my favorite books I’ve read this month. If you’re look for a new fiction book to read, I suggest giving this one a chance!
July has been a month filled with just simply enjoying summer. I’ve enjoyed the sunshine and started making more plans for the future. It was nice to have a more relaxing month after traveling in June.
This month I’ve also been working towards worrying a bit less. I’ve talked about this in previous monthly round ups, but since I’m pretty much done with college, except for one more class, I’ve fallen down the path of being a bit more worried about the future. Now this is completely normal, but I always seem to forget that I know what I want to do, it’s just going to take time. I’ve been reminding myself that everything in the end will work out, and to just enjoy the now.
Also it may not seem like a big deal, but I cut off quite a few inches of my hair this month (these photos are from before I cut it), and love it! I’ve had longer hair for months now, but the change was much needed.
I have been on the hunt for a flower field near me for over a year, and I was so excited to finally find this sunflower one!
Dresses have been a go-to of mine this summer due to the heat. Although I love a good midi dress, pinafore dresses have always been a favorite of mine because of how easy they are to style. This navy blue one is from American Eagle, and on casual days I usually wear it with a t-shirt. This blue striped one is from Zara and it was under $10!
And that is a look at July! I’d love to know how July was for you, and I hope you have the best August!
