Blogging requires a lot of tasks to be done throughout the week, which can make staying on top of everything a bit challenging. I’ve always been someone who works best with having a to-do list, and recently I decided to create one just for blogging. So if you’re new to blogging or find staying on top of everything a bit overwhelming, here is a look at my blogging to-do checklist with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that will hopefully give you some inspiration!
Respond to comments: This is both on my blog and on Instagram and Twitter.
Read and comment on other blogs: This is a great way to connect with other bloggers and get inspiration!
Plan Instagram photos or take an Instagram photo.
Edit Instagram photos.
Pin photos to Pinterest.
Tweet at least 2 blog posts throughout the day.
Check and respond to any emails.
Take blog photos: This for me usually happens twice a week. Once when I go out and take outfit photos, and the other is lifestyle photos.
Create an outline for a blog post.
Write the full blog post.
Proofread blog posts.
Edit blog photos.
Clear email inbox.
Add links on old posts of new posts that are relevant to each other.
Blog post plan and ideas: Before the start of every month I’ll sit down and plan out on my calendar all the blog posts I want to create for the month. I also brainstorm any future blog post ideas too!
Update shop my closet page with any new items bought that month.
Check blog traffic & analytics: This is something that can be done weekly too.
Create new goals: I always like to set myself new blog goals, whether that be to get more monthly reads or comment on new blogs.
Put photos on hard drive and clear off computer.
Clear off camera memory card.
Back up blog: It’s important not to lose any blog content if something happens, so I always back up my blog once a month or as WordPress updates happen.
And that is a look at my blogging checklist! I hope this gave you some inspiration for creating your own checklist. Keep in mind that this is just what I do, and sometimes there are days or weeks where I don’t get everything done or I don’t need to do all of this. It really is just a tool I use for motivation, so have fun with it!
