Life is filled with ups and downs, and these first two months of 2019 have been exactly that. The one thing I always strive to do is focus on the good things in life that I’m grateful for. It has been over a year since I did one of these posts, but they are always my favorite posts to read because it reminds you to focus on the positives in life. So here is a look at the little things in life that have made me happy recently!
A week of warm weather. It was so nice to experience spring at the beginning of February, even if it was just for a little bit. I was finally able to go for long walks without freezing.
Finding a hat that I actually like! I have always been convinced that I just didn’t have the right head shape for a hat. But recently I found 2 at Target that I really like.
Starting a workout routine. One of my goals for this year is to strengthen and move my body more, and it has so far been going good! Although I’m a little sore, I have been feeling better overall and it’s nice to have a routine every day.
Being greeted by my little fluff ball in the mornings + when I come home. There is nothing better than coming home to see 10 pounds of fluff being so excited to see you.
Finding my self-confidence. There are always moments where I start to doubt myself and everything I do, but I’m slowly getting better at just believing in myself.
Getting some fresh flowers to brighten up the gloomy winter days.
As odd as this may sound, I found a new toothpaste that I really like and that does make me happy.
Getting better at being able to have caffeine! My body has always reacted so badly to any caffeine, and by caffeine, I mean decaf coffee. This has always bummed me a bit because I love the taste of coffee so much. Recently I’ve been making decaf lattes and my body seems to be okay with it.

I encourage you to make your own list and I would love to know one thing that has made you happy recently! Just remember that even when things aren’t going well, there always is something good coming right around the corner.
