The colder months of the year are always when I like to try new skincare products. Throughout 2018 I started making the switch to cruelty-free and more natural products, and I’ve found some new products that I love. My skin tends to be on the combination dry side, although it can get oily too. Although I am no beauty expert, I thought I would share a look at my current skincare routine and the products that I love!
This is a cleanser I’ve been using for many months now and it is amazing if you have sensitive skin! It feels like you’re using lotion, but it still leaves your skin feeling clean.
For Christmas, I got a mini gift set of 4 Mario Badescu’s products and I’m so happy I finally tried their products! I use the enzyme cleansing gel in the morning to wash my face, and it does a great job at cleaning my skin while leaving it feeling smooth. I’ve been reaching for this one more than the Burt’s Bees one recently, although I usually like to switch between the two.
I use this exfoliating scrub about 3 times a week in the morning to give my skin more of a deep clean.
Although body wash isn’t really considered “skincare”, I thought I would include it anyway because this one is a new favorite of mine! I’ve been searching for more natural body washes that aren’t too expensive, and this one from Method is really good. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated, and the smell is heavenly.
This is one of the few toners I have ever used, and I love it so much. I use this in the morning before moisturizing and at night. I love that it has no alcohol in it, and the rose smell is really calming. The only downside with this is the bottle will leak, which makes traveling with it a bit hard.
I’m never really sure if facial sprays really do anything magical for your skin, but I love using this one after I take off my makeup at night. It gives my skin a nice refresh before bed.
The one thing I have found so hard is trying to find a more natural moisturizer with SPF in it. This one from Burt’s Bees is one of the few I could find, and I actually really like it. Because of the royal jelly in it, it does have a bit of an odd smell, but after a few times using it, I don’t really notice it. What I love about this moisturizer is it dries pretty quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.
This is a product that people either love or strongly dislike, and I personally don’t think I’ll ever stop using it. This is something I’ve been using for over a year now and it has saved my lips in the cold winter months. I use this right before bed and after I apply my makeup in the morning, and it leaves my lips feeling really smooth.
And that is a look at my current skincare routine! This honestly could change in a month but I wanted to share what I’ve been loving for the past few months. I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of these products and if you have any current skincare favorites!

I love Burt’s Bees products, but for some reason have never tried their moisturizer. I’m definitely going to have to give it a go after your review though. I also have such a hard time finding a natural product with spf that my skin doesn’t react badly to.
I’m also interested in trying the toner since I’m currently not using one, but I’ve heard that they can do great things for your skin.
Thanks for sharing all these great products. I hope you have a wonderful week.

Winter skincare is so different from other seasons, isn’t it?! I need to be exfoliating – where have I been? Will definitely be ordering what you’ve suggested! Love Thayer’s Witch Hazel too. Have a happy Monday, Kara!

I’ve heard great things about Burt’s bees but never tried any of their skincare – maybe I should! I tend not to mess with my routine too much though, I have sensitive skin and last time I tried something different (a serum) it was months before my skin calmed down, haha!
Hope that you had a great weekend 🙂 We had a fun but busy one with a kids birthday party. I’ve just posted my weekday wear linkup on my blog if you want to join 🙂

I have been wanting to try Mario Badesco. That cleanser sounds very interesting. I can’t use Burt’s Bees I like the company but I am allergic to something in the products. And I am chomping at the bit to get to the Glossier store in New York.
