The first day of fall is here and I’ve already got the warm, cozy feeling that comes with this time of year. It’s the perfect time to start refreshed and embrace the new. For the third year in a row, here is a fall edit of favorites with everything from fashion, lifestyle, and more!
Spending less, wearing more of what I already own. This year I’ve been focusing more on wearing what I already own and love, and that’s something I plan to continue into fall. It has helped me discover more of my personal style + save money too.
Warm and dark colors. Oranges and reds, rust, a hint of yellow, dark greens, navy, grey, and of course, black.
Stripes. One of my favorite patterns that I always go back to. Sometimes the best outfit is a striped long sleeve tee with a pair of jeans. I did add this new one to my wardrobe for this season, and the hint of yellow is my favorite part.
Light sweaters for layering over dresses. There’s nothing I love more than being able to wear cozy sweaters, especially over a dress.
Durable rain boots. Perfect for taking on the rainy, cold autumn days. Although a bit pricey, I finally added a pair to my wardrobe that will be a staple in my outfits during the colder months. No more cold feet this year.
Many long wooded walks, bundled up with a warm jacket and good company.
Burning candles when working or relaxing in the evening, with many cups of tea and hot chocolate. I think I am on about two a day now.
Early mornings before the sun rises. There’s no feeling quite like being up before everyone else and watching the warm-colored sky.
And cozy, lazy mornings sleeping in on days off. Which to me is now 8 o’clock.
Music is the perfect way to get into the fall mood. There’s nothing I love more than a song that gives the feeling of taking a long drive on a chilly autumn day, surrounded by nothing but trees. Here are a few songs I have been playing on repeat and will be for the next few months:
Hozier: Cherry Wine, Like Real People Do, Work Song, Would That I, Almost (sweet music).
Bon Iver: Roslyn, Holocene, Faith.
Tom Rosenthal: Hugging You.
New beginnings and letting go of what no longer serves you.
Be more productive but still set aside time for hobbies and downtime.
The warm smell of home-baked goods and the excitement of trying new recipes.
Top: Uniqlo | Midi Skirt: New Look | Purse: Target | Shoes: DSW
And that is a look at my favorites for fall this year. I would love to know what you will be loving this season!
